Letting Go of Shame and Guilt
What are Shame and Guilt?
• Shame: A feeling of being inherently flawed or unworthy.
• Example: “I am a bad person.”
• Guilt: A recognition of having done something wrong and feeling regret.
• Example: “I made a bad choice.”
And as you walk that path, it’s important to remember this…
You are not your past. You are not your mistakes. You are not the worst thing you’ve ever done.
You are a whole, evolving human being.
You are worthy of healing.
You are allowed to forgive yourself.
You are allowed to grow.
Let this be the moment you decide to lay down the weight you’ve been carrying and begin practicing a new kind of strength: the kind that comes from self-love, radical honesty, and compassion.
